“When I decided to leave the academic life of astrophysical data behind me, I knew I could only do it by working at a vibrant place with a strong and international company culture. It had to be working with big data and challenging data problems. With this framework in mind, I realised that trivago is not only a platform for finding the ideal accommodation, it’s also the ideal workplace for me.

Over the course of almost 5 years at trivago, I’ve worked on many data science topics, ranging from performing one-time analyses and passing through building complex data workflows in the core of our CPA model, up to deploying predictive models into production. Now, as a data science lead, I guide my team in supporting the trivago advertisers to constantly optimize their campaigns. Since I started here I haven’t stopped learning and being challenged.

And lastly, what I value as much as the work itself, is that I’m always surrounded by amazing people who allow a great flow of mutual knowledge sharing. Many of them have become friends for life!”
