“Studying and starting my career in Germany gave me the privilege of being able to travel to so many countries across Europe. I got to meet people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, learn new things, push myself out of my comfort zone, and, in the process, create memorable experiences!
When I started out as a part-time working student, focusing on quality assurance, I was introduced to the domain of data exploration. Since then, I have been captivated by the excitement of delving into data to discover new perspectives and create value. As a Data Scientist at trivago, my role involves organizing, interpreting, and visualizing historical data from the travel industry to support colleagues in making strategic decisions. I also get to develop algorithms to be able to predict values for specific use cases, drawing on domain expertise, data patterns, and business requirements.
At trivago, I have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of over 80 nationalities. I continue to grow professionally through a combination of self-motivation, learning, and mentorship from my peers. It’s scary yet exciting to challenge myself and dive into new topics outside my comfort zone. Ultimately, these very experiences define me in the end.”
