How you'll make an impact:
- Design and drive the development of trivago’s B2B-related developer-facing products and the broader platforms surrounding it
- Create tooling and interfaces that enable easy onboarding when launching new B2B products and features
- Work with the engineering team to improve application architecture and infrastructure to support these projects
- Ideate & implement proof of concept applications for testing various new B2B product ideas
- Work with the most innovative world travel startups, helping them build on top of our B2B APIs and data
- Be an ambassador for consistency, usability, and accessibility of our new B2B product interface
- Write clean, composable, and testable code
Our technology stack:
- Backend: Python, SQL, Docker, GCP/Cloud, Airflow, BigQuery.
- Frontend: Typescript, Javascript, React, and Apollo GraphQL.
What you'll need to thrive:
- At least 5 years' work experience as a full-stack developer
- Hands-on experience with cloud services and platforms like GCP, including deployment and management of cloud-based applications
- Solid knowledge of SQL databases
- Familiarity with ETL tools like Apache Airflow
- Experience with containerisation and container orchestration
- Proficiency with Python and API frameworks like Flask and FastAPI
- Experience with different types of testing strategies
- Keen interest in creating a great developer experience
- An appreciation for good internal & external documentation
- Be a team player who enjoys working with people but also taking ownership and being resourceful
Stand out with:
- An understanding of software design as well as product and business considerations that go into delivering great public APIs
- Solid API/platform architecture and engineering experience from high-growth startups
- Hands-on experience with full-stack projects
- Good communication skills, and proactivity to communicate with cross-functional teams
