We are looking for a talented Tax Accountant to join our tax team in Düsseldorf and be responsible for several tax tasks including calculating current taxes, deferred taxes, and effective tax rates. You will also monitor uncertain tax positions as well as prepare tax notes for consolidated financial statements. Apply now to join our dynamic team of tax professionals.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax calculations and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and related SOX controls
- Handle the periodic filing of DST returns
- Monitor and analyze current developments regarding worldwide DST implementation to ensure compliance
- Provide tax consultation for the internal trivago stakeholders with a particular focus on international tax
- Manage the tax aspects of trivago's (foreign) entities such as transfer pricing and tax audits and coordinate tax risks worldwide
- Coordinate work streams with external consultants
What you'll need to thrive:
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in taxation, finance or accounting
- 3+ years' experience in international tax that has given you a superb understanding of international tax regulations and a solid background in tax calculations according to US GAAP
- Positive “can do” attitude and the eagerness to own and take responsibility for projects and processes including independently making decisions when necessary
- Advanced Excel skills
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English (our company language)

- Working knowledge of a reporting and/or ERP software
