Our media and marketing professionals navigate the evolving world of marketing to create, place, and measure impactful campaigns across several channels that connect with travellers, establishing our brand as a leading force in the travel industry. Are you passionate about email & app marketing with Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience and want to be part of trivago’s digital marketing team? As a Digital Marketing Specialist in Owned Media team, you will be responsible for working hands-on within email/app push notification automation tools, you'll efficiently scale up our push notification traffic with a test, learn and iterate mentality. This includes testing different journeys, communication, and audiences ensuring measurement approaches are in place while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Plan and set up automated push notification marketing journeys to increase the volume and quality of our app push traffic using Salesforce marketing cloud
  • Own the development & execution of App push campaigns and uncover potential for growth
  • Write/edit AMPscript & HTML code for executing campaigns with QAing of templates & landing pages
  • Take ownership of key strategic projects within the customer engagement domain. You’ll coordinate with many different stakeholders, from data analysts to trivago’s App development team
  • Debug journey bugs and tracking issues in collaboration with business intelligence teams to monitor overall performance of different campaigns
  • Implement segmentation strategies to deliver personalized and relevant content to different user segments
  • Stay up to date on app push marketing trends and best practices and proactively share your knowledge

What you’ll need to thrive:

  • 2+ years of hands on experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, or any other automation tool in managing email & app push notification campaigns
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS & Ampscript
  • An entrepreneurial and self-driven attitude that enables you to be proactive about proposing actions, projects and testing a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical mind with the ability to analyze and interpret data to make sound decisions and identify trends
  • An excellent eye for detail that allows you to spot even the smallest of mistakes
  • Strong communication skills to be able to put forward your thoughts and arguments
  • Fluency in English (our company language)

Stand out with:

  • A degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration or in a related field
  • Some experience in travel or retail industry managing email automation
  • Experience with MMPs such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, etc
