As a crucial part of trivago’s success, our sales & account management team plays an important role in fostering strong relationships with our valued clients, ensuring their satisfaction and optimizing their experience. 

Our Sales & Account Management team is looking for a proactive, data-minded, experienced individual who can work with trivago’s regional strategic advertisers (i.e. advertisers of relevance in specific geographies) to ensure strong and mutually beneficial relationships. How you’ll make an impact: 

  • Maintain and enhance partnerships with strategic advertisers in trivago i.e. online travel agencies and hotel chains
  • Be responsible for advertiser success by monitoring, optimizing and advising on KPIs and performance
  • Ideate, define and drive partner strategies forward through close and proactive consultation
  • Learn and manage the fundamentals of advertiser’s technical setups
  • Inform advertisers within your portfolio of developments both in trivago and external markets
  • Demonstrate the value of new product initiatives, ensuring buy-in from relevant advertisers
  • Initiate and execute sales pitches where incremental monetization opportunities occur

What you'll need to thrive:

  • Native Japanese and fluent English (our company language) skills, other languages are an advantage
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Sales/Account Management, Online Marketing or Consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Tourism or Hospitality, or related fields
  • Confidence and conviction necessary to proactively approach new contacts and successfully negotiate favorable terms
  • An analytical mindset that allows you to handle and draw valuable insights from large data
  • A good understanding of bidding/tracking/analytical tools (i.e. Looker)
  • Ability to travel (partner meetings, relevant trade fairs and events)
