What We Offer
.
Relocation & Integration
We annually help many people relocate to Düsseldorf from across the world. We understand that you might be leaving your comfort zone by moving from far away to join us, so we offer you support for relocation and settling down in a new country and city. You’ll be supported with topics like getting a visa and work permit, a newcomer’s loan and a relocation reimbursement budget to help cover flights and moving expenses.
During your onboarding week you’ll meet fellow newcomers and spend the week getting to know all parts of the business through presentations and challenges. Once you’re onboarded, you’ll have access to a supportive network of colleagues who will help you with reflection and learning for long-term development.
Our events range from four core events, internal exchanges and tech get-togethers, to after-work events and hangouts with our affinity groups. Whether it’s at annual trivago on tour to secret destinations or during sponsored team events – we always make time to have fun together as a team!
Autonomy & Flexibility
We have flexible working hours and self-determined vacation days to enable you to manage your own productivity. With our hybrid work model, you can split your time between home and the office – as long as you’re in the office 3 days per week for in-person collaboration. We also offer further flexibility for parents of young children and talents with severe disabilities or health conditions. On top of our flexible hours and hybrid setup, you’ll be able to spend up to 20 working days outside of Germany in selected countries.
Besides relocation support for their families, trivago parents can also benefit from information and support for finding a Kindergarten, generous parental leave policies, learning content tailored to family life, prenatal yoga classes, family events and more. Find out more about our benefits for parents here.
Our Purpose
Empower people to get more out of life.
Growth & Learning
Our unique leadership philosophy allows you to develop into a position based on your strengths, not a predetermined career path. If you’re looking for a new challenge, we encourage internal job mobility for all talents to explore different career paths within trivago.
The biggest impact on your development will be established through our strong feedback culture. Being challenged in your role by people you trust will teach you the most about yourself and your work. Our annual peer evaluation and regular check-ins with your lead will help you focus on your strengths and development areas.
Workspace & Wellness
Our campus in Düsseldorf’s Media Harbour enables us to work closer together as a team in an optimized work environment. It consists of various open and collaborative spaces where talents can meet and share ideas, individualized meeting rooms, but also quieter spaces such as the focus area.
Each desk is flexible and equipped with an ergonomic chair, a docking station and whichever screens you need. You’ll also get a personal laptop, keyboard and mouse that you’re free to use both at home or at the office.
We make it easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle and work-life balance, thanks to 30+ complimentary sports classes ranging from golf to beach volleyball, a fully equipped gym, a running track and access to online therapy and meditation apps. If you just need a break to recharge your batteries, we have our barista bar, multicuisine canteen and activity areas, where talents can blow off some steam.
Finance & Recognition
We acknowledge talents for their hard work as well as for living and sharing our culture, so we have a reward program in place to help us do this. Peers have the opportunity to recognise each others‘ efforts outside their expected work scope in an organic way through our internal peer recognition program. We also acknowledge top contributors who drive business value through our Stars Program and by considering them for our equity program.
All our talents have the opportunity to invest in their future by taking part in trivago’s company pension model. Next to the state pension that is already deducted from your gross salary, and is mandatory for every talent, trivago offers a company pension that is voluntary. This means that you get to choose the pension level, and we’ll contribute a set amount.
Our talents have access to various discounts ranging from sport memberships and food apps, to local entertainment and transport. trivago is a member of a corporate benefits platform, offering our talents special discounts on travel, fashion, entertainment, homeware, tech gadgets and more. Talents also have the option to get a monthly subsidised company travel ticket that offers unlimited access to all local transport within a specific region, depending on the price level that you choose. Our on-campus canteen has various heavily-subsidised meal options to choose from so that you don’t have to prepare food for yourself every week!
